2025: 17th edition

The 17th edition of the Beirut Spring Festival marks 20 years on the assassination of Samir Kassir. Scheduled for 1 – 21 June 2025, the festival features a public art installation, a theatre production, and a walking tour. The art installation, titled “Bayan El Helm”, takes place in Samir Kassir Square, Beirut Downtown, from 1 to 8 June, and the play "Jarret Ghaz Spéciale" runs from 10 to 29 June at the Monnot Theatre. On 15 June, a street promenade honors the history, memory, freedom, and the soul of Samir Kassir's Beirut. In keeping with the festival’s tradition, the installation and the walking tour are free, as well as the first three nights of the play, thanks to the support of nine partner organizations, and the fundraiser play "Contractions". The theatre evenings from 13 to 29 June are paid ticketed events. At the end of the summer, the festival presented "20 Years for Freedom," an exhibition featuring the work of eight Lebanese photojournalists who have documented Lebanon's struggles, hopes, and defining moments since 2005. The exhibition was supported by the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beirut.
